img_0201.jpgMarie Williams has had many years of involvement in Spiritual Direction and Retreats, graduating from the Siloam program at Heart of Life in Melbourne in 1985. Since then, Marie has attended two Professional Development Courses from Heart of Life and in 2007 received a Certificate in the Ministry of Supervision.From the University of Queensland Marie received a B.Ed. and from James Cook University Townsville, a Grad. Diploma in Arts (Anthropology). Celtic Studies at the University of Wales in the late nineties were credited to this Grad. Diploma.A most significant life experience for Marie was her 17 years spent living and working side-by-side with Indigenous peoples in remote areas of PNG and in the Great Sandy Desert of WA. Here she was involved in the formation of Church Leaders, Prayer Leaders and Catechists.Over the years, Marie has had the opportunity to attend many workshops, seminars and tertiary courses, in theology, scripture, psychology, psycho-synthesis, prayer, eco-spirituality, Ignatian Spirituality. In 1997, Marie received a Presenter's Certificate from the Irish Enneagram Institute.Marie is an Australlian Sister of Mercy who entered religious life in the Diocese of Townsville, where she is currently living, and where she had the experience of being Leader for a term.
